Tips On Saving Your Money This Christmas and New Year's Eve

It's the time of the year where a lot of events, gathering and fun comes in! It's the two most awaited holidays of the year, Christmas and New Year's Eve! Come on, who doesn't like Christmas except Grinch? and when you say fun it's inevitable not to spend some cash, correct? But some of us are already broke after the holidays because of uneducated and uncontrollable spending of money. So I decided to list the things that we can do to save a lot of money and still enjoy these holidays.

Topping on our list is:

1.) Plan Ahead

Before the peak season enters the picture, you must enumerate the things that you want to do for the holidays, this helps you a lot of time and prevents you to rush things and spend things that are not favorable for you.

Make an organized and scheduled itinerary for stops you will go to, let's say you may be visiting the grocery store at the mid of November after that you'll be visiting the gift shop, making sure that the establishment is open on the said date, is these two near with each other to save gas and time? So those are details we need to consider.

2.) Buy things ahead of time

Now, few people do this and this is the smartest and tactical thing you can do. Why? Don't be deceived by the "sale" sign in the malls and grocery stores out there. Some stores deceive their customers in terms of prices especially in holidays. They know that people will spend money on the peak season and to be able to catch their attention, they make their products as sale which in the reality is not.

You can save a lot of money from this by buying gifts and foods for the holiday in low season, stack them up, buy them batch by batch until you bought all the things you need. It saves time, money and energy.

3.) Celebrate on a large Event

There are places where you can spend your Christmas and New Year's eve on an event celebrated by a lot of people, some of us usually prepare food individually on our home, which on the optional side there are free event gatherings in the town that the family can participate. They cater free live shows, concerts Christmas bazaars, and firework displays to keep you entertained and enjoy the evening.

4.) Spending

Spend things that you can afford and even if you can afford, always make a looping decision if this will be beneficial for you. Don't be tempted to use your credit card, don't be pressured from a lot of people, remember it's not bad to be a miser or stingy on these kind of occasions, you already know the feeling of being broke after the holidays, so don't make it happen again. Refrain from buying expensive things as a gift, remember that it's the thought that counts.

5.) Collect and use Vouchers

There are a lot of type of vouchers that are given to their valued customers, it is part of their marketing strategy, they are being smart and so you should too. Collect beneficial vouchers; discount vouchers, gift check vouchers, grocery vouchers, accommodation vouchers and etc. Most of them are not available on holiday seasons so better sure to consume or use them before and not after holiday season. This will give you a mind set that you have fun and save a lot already from these vouchers.

6.) Recycle and Improvise

Do I need to explain more? This tip is self explanatory, you can use this method for Christmas decorations, there are a lot of tutorial videos on the world wide web for inspiration. This will also make yourself busy and enhance your creativity. Just to be sure not to improvise and recycle firecrackers and fireworks on New Year's Eve if you know what I mean.

I hope these tips help you a lot and realize the things you can do to save more and not being broke after the holidays. If there are things you want to share and add from these tips, I want to know from the comment section below. Don't forget to share this to your friends.
